Steel drums usually have standardised threads. This is different for plastic drums and containers, where there are a variety of thread types. We supply suitable adapters for the most common container threads so that outlet taps, pumps and other accessories can be securely fitted.

How to find the right adapter

If your container has an external thread, you will need an adapter with an internal thread and vice versa. All other properties such as thread type, pitch, inner and outer diameter must match for the container thread and the adapter.

Finally, please check the material resistance of the adapter with your medium or application and whether you need an additional seal. If all requirements are met, you have found the perfect adapter for your thread.

All thread designations refer directly to the adapter. So if your container has a 3/4" external thread, you will need an adapter with a 3/4" internal thread. If you cannot find the required adapter here or cannot determine the thread, simply send us a cap. We will then send you the appropriate adapter.
