About EcoVadis, the rating criteria and our results
Sustainability, ethical cooperation and human rights are of high priority to Bürkle! A transparent approach to these issues is very important to us. For this reason, we have opted for an assessment by EcoVadis, which allows you to view our results quickly and transparently.
What is EcoVadis?
EcoVadis is an international sustainability assessment and intelligence platform that helps more than 100,000 companies improve their sustainability performance and optimize their value chain. In addition, EcoVadis helps to manage ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) risks and compliance (business and legal term for corporate compliance) as well as to assess sustainability practices in the supply chain. Bürkle was already evaluated by EcoVadis in 2023 and we are pleased to share our results with you again this year.
Advantages of an EcoVadis-rated company
The classification is a great advantage for suppliers, customers and partners. Anyone interested in working with Bürkle can quickly and easily access our risk screening and risk analysis and view our ratings and scorecards without having to contact us. Thanks to the clear categorization by medals, the performance of each company can be compared with others.
Evaluation criteria
EcoVadis monitors a total of four areas, in each of which a minimum of 30 points must be achieved in order to receive a medal.

Gold medal
We are delighted to have been awarded the gold medal in 2024 - a recognition that only the top 5% of all companies receive.
We were already awarded silver in our first assessment in 2023, an achievement that many only reach after revaluation.
We are all the more proud of this year's gold medal.

Die EcoVadis Medaillen werden an Unternehmen verliehen, die den EcoVadis Bewertungsprozess erfolgreich durchlaufen haben und ein nachhaltiges Managementsystem nach der EcoVadis Methodik nachweisen können. Darüber hinaus müssen sie bestimmte Lizenzierungs- und Akkreditierungskriterien erfüllen.
Mit folgenden Werten haben wir die Goldmedaille erreicht:

Our scorecard
The EcoVadis scorecards enable a quick and efficient review of a company's strengths, measures and results.
We are very pleased with the good rating we received in all four areas. For example, we achieved very good results for our labor and human rights policies in the areas of diversity, equality and inclusion.
We have improved in all sustainability assessment areas compared to the previous year.
In our listed sector ‘Manufacture of plastic goods’, we are even among the top 2%.
